Most historians of science believe that the science of alchemy and chemistry started and developed principally in the Nile Valley, and that it was practised in Syria, Mesopotamia and Persia. Stapleton advanced the idea that the origin of alchemy is to be traced to Syria (especially Harran), Mesopotamia and Persia, rather than Egypt. He suggested that Syrian refugees from the Persian invasion had carried their ideology and technique into Egypt and practised alchemy there using the Greek language; and this is how Egyptian alchemy had originated according to him.

Split-sample techniques should be used to ensure test validity and reliability. That is, a collected sample should be divided into three parts upon arrival at the laboratory. One part should be tested initially, a second part should be used for th (Klingner, 1991)e confirmatory test if the first test is positive, and the third part should be frozen for future use as evidence in court (if the test results are used as the basis for disciplinary action or discharge and the employee sues as a result). Laboratory personnel should possess the qualifications and certifications required to perform tests appropriately and accurately. Technicians should be certified by whatever federal or state agency has jurisdiction over the laboratory. Test results should be read, interpreted, and reported only by those qualified to do so. Pbsitive results should be reported only to the appropriate person in the company or agency, and this reporting should take place only after positive results of an initial screening have been confirmed. The laboratory will base positive determinations on appropriate cutoff levels established by the employer, by federal regulations, or other standards agreed upon in advance. (Klingner, 1991)

1.      Nama.

Nama asli Az-Zarnuji tidak ada yang tahu, kecuali hanya gelarnya saja yang masyhur yaitu Burhanuddin Az-Az-Zarnuji.[1]

2.      Kelahiran dan meninggal

Burhanuddin Al-Az-Zarnuji hidup pada abad ke 6 H/ 13-14 M[2], pada akhir periode Abbasiyah, sebab khalifah Abbasiyah terakhir ialah al-Mu’tashim (wafat tahun 1258 M/656 H). Az-Zarnuji berasal dari Zarnuj adalah nama kota yang masyhur yang terletak di kawasan sungai Tigris (ma’wara’a al-nahr) yakni Tukistan Timur.[3]

Tujuan Pendidikan Islam perspektif al-Zarnuji

Tujuan pendidikan islam menurut Az-Zarnuji adalah: beramal dan menyebarkan ilmu. Ini bisa kita baca di muqaddimah kitabnya itu.

WHAT IS EXPERIENTIAL?

Various terms have been used to label the process of learning from experience. John Dewey (Dewey and Dewey 1915) discussed “learning by doing,” while Wolfe and Byrne (1975) used the term “experienced-based learning.” The term

“trial and error” learning is used to explain inductive learning processes. The AACSB Task Force (1986) used the term “applied experiential learning,” combining the learning from the “real-world” Situation with the necessary condition of the application of concepts, ideas and theories to the interactive setting. The term “experiential learning” will be used here, but it is intended to cover the same domains as the other terms.

The AACSB Task Force (1986, p. 3) defined applied experiential learning as: A business curriculum-related endeavor which is interactive (other than between teacher and pupil) and is characterized by variability and uncertainty.

Meaning of islamic education

Questioning the Meaning of islamic education is based on the presupposition that education be considered a branch of human empirical sciences. In the case, when using the above phrase, the intention will be the science of Islamic education. It is because of such use of these word and other similar words. i.e, Christian education. That the quwstion as to whther such phrases essentially contain any meaning or not, come about. (Bagheri, 2001)

Di era teknologi ini, dayah seharusnya sudah mengadopsi inovasi teknologi untuk menopang kualitas pembelajaran. Perangkat teknologi informasi merupakan sarana paling penting dalam pengembangan sistem pendidikan dayah zaman kini dengan tetap menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai Kedayahan(pesantren). Memang, tak dapat dipungkiri bahwa setiap inovasi teknologi pasti melahirkan dampak ganda, antara manfaat dan mudharat. Di sinilah dayah berperan untuk membuat filter atau tangkal agar inovasi teknologi dapat memberikan nilai positif dan konstruktif bagi kehidupan santri dan lingkungan sekitar. Bagaimanapun, pemanfaatan teknologi pada zaman ini merupakan suatu keniscayaan di mana setiap orang pasti tidak dapat memisahkan diri darinya. Sebab itu, sebagai subsistem dunia global, dayah sekurang-kurangnya dapat beradaptasi dengan kemajuan teknologi tersebut tanpa harus mereduksi nilai-nilai yang dianut selama ini. Untuk itu, diperlukan kepekaan dan ketajaman analisis dalam mengantisipasi kemungkinan-kemungkinan yang akan terjadi sebelum inovasi teknologi diaplikasikan.
